Re: Dictionaries.. use them when necessary, but sparingly. Generally it’s best not to rely on them too much– just choose easier material.

I received your 7 rules on how to speak English.They remind me of Dr. L.A. Hill’s teaching method,Steps To Understanding and Annecdotes,and the series of books,”900″.Unfortunately both of them were forgotten.
However,it seems you have revived them in a modern way.
In my opinion,they’re practical and so useful for those who wants to learn this language.
By the way,I cannot get benefit from IT because I don’t have a credit card to buy them.

I`m realy happy to right you down, finaly! I want to thank you for all your hard work that give us the confidence to speak english! I`ve never felt good about my speaking and now I think I found my way to improve it!I`m following your steps but my problem is that i don`t have a lot of time because I`m working. I`m kind of taking my time but I`m sure that my improvment is near. I`m working with americans(which I think help in one way or another) and I`m realy pleased when they say somethink like- ‘.. your english is good.. “. I know that you sad that you don`t want peaple with good english but I think there is still somethink to learn from you. I`m still checking each word in a dictionary so I can write correct, even now.( *I hope this is good*). I hope you are well and well repaid for your outstanding work.I used to learn English by myself and you could imagine what it ment- lots of books, texts, dictionaries etc. I don’t feel sorry about that, maybe it had to be my way towards English language. I am going to put your www. on sites visited by the most interested people – students, young teachers and others who want to work abroad.
Well (rather bad), I feel sad, I cannnot buy your English learning programme right now. It will happen in March or April, and you have to let me know where I’ll be able to do that via Western Union (or else).

…Aj,i am,the kind of person who will feel bore if do the same thing again and again. .That what happen to your lesson,you always advice at the bottom line to listen to the audio many many time,and you have said in 1 of your lesson,to hear it for 2 week.So,it is necesary to hear the audio for two week before i can hear another lesson? .,how to prevent the boredomisation. .Honestly,i feel excited about your method. .One more thing,i am overexcited to learn your lesson,and this behaviour make me not to listen many time to your audio. .I mean,when i just finish hear one of your audio for the 1st time,i just continued to hear new another lesson instead to hear the audio again and again.It is okay?

The volume of the voice is low, not like other videos.
The description is clear though.
There are some numbers as prefix of the name of the lessons on your website.
But you will lose those numbers after you download the lessons on you computer.
I assume we should start from the lessons with low number.

The instructions are easy for the native speakers, but you’re reaching different kinds of learning,the majority of non-native speakers relay too much in the translation of their mother tongue,also you have to make too many translations depending of the country the future prospect may contac you, (by the way in Spanish you’re missing the consonant (Ñ). thank you very much for your great work and for your enormous energy which you spread around you. So I am more sure, that with your help I can reach my target,to speak English fluently, automatically and with good pronunciation.
Your explanation video is clear enough even for people with a little experience in computer using, I think.
Maybe you might expand it to continue in lessons saving into users computer, if should it be designated really even for weak computer users.
Of’course if you consider this for reasonable.
For ex.: after download are lessons in the Downloads folder, where may be a little bit chaos. You might recomend to create particular folder on user’s computer hard drive, for ex. in My Documents or Favorites… with the name Effortless English and there they have to save all relevant files,
-how to do it could be different – depends on web browser which they use (Mozilla Firefox,MS Int.Explorer,Safari, Opera,etc.)
- in case these files are in ZIP format there is necessary to unzip them,
these necessary processes could make troubles to some students -
maybe you might recommend there, which MP3 player is possible to use to listen it on computer, Windows has more tools for it.
But, of’course, it is up to you.
I would like to mention only, that with downloading is not all work with files done.
So, thank you again for your effort and I wish you a lot of success in your mission.

I’ve watched all the videos about the 7 rules. It was wonderful feeling to have a chance to listen to a native speaker who is a teacher of English – not just any teacher but a really great one. You made it sound so simple and easy to learn to speak English effortlessly and automatically, the way you spoke in the videos.
Unfortunately, I can’t open those videos about using the lesson and the detailed video you asked me to watch and give you feedbacks. I did watch the simpler one, though. And you were very clear and easy to understand in that, too.
As soon as I get a better computer with a bigger hard drive, I’ll definitely buy the lessons and use them. I love your method of teaching, your enthusiasm, your energy, your encouragement… Teaching English is no doubt your calling, Mr. Hoge.

This is clear and easy to understand. The only thing you have to make clearer is this sentence in the “Original Effortless English Lessons (TM) Purchase” mail:
“Please note, download link(s) will expire after 9 attempts.”
People can think that they are going to lose their lessons if they don’t download them quickly.
Apart from that, the video is good and clear.
Add a “Read here the order you should listen the lessons to” document to the kit.

Your explanation on how to download lesson files is clear, but maybe you could show how to download a lesson (there is a zip in that case to manage).
I think the download page could be more friendly, I mean it could permit to:
1. download all lesson with one big zip file
2. download every single lesson with one zip file (as it can do now)
3. download every single component of the lesson: Audio article, mini story ecc, this is for people who are in difficult with unzipping files.

Hi all my friends of A.J.Hoge method teaching english,
I am a man, 71 years old,retired of course.
I hope to improve my english very soon with the help of our great teacher A.J.Hoge.I bought the lessons soem mounth ago,but I did not still start with them, because I am a farmer too and I have a lot, a lot , a lot to do there, at the farm,until the autumn time.But I tried to use (to listen only 3-4 times) the 1st and 2nd lesson (a kiss,a day of the dead)and I have been very excited, very happy, very interested.Sometime at my farm,when I am using the iphone and shooting my answers,the dogs bark very strong,scared!!! So, I want to say that it is very very easy to download the digital lessons,to use them where and when you like, I can assure all of the new students like me.73′ Michele

I appreciate you for creative system of teaching English! Really It very positive and passionate podcasts, webinars and ruls is very usefull. Actually I didn’t buy your “Using Lessons” yet. Howover I receved your e-mail about leave comments and as for me it’s deffinatly understendable video.
But I want to leave comment about webinar “Essential steps 4″ I didn ‘t understand about negative painful emotion that we have to feel it with positive emotion and at the end u will get what we want. That’s leverage. But I think we have a lot of different negative emotions in our life so we sould focus on positive emotions.In addition to set the goal and make steps to get it.
Anyway I like wchat your videos and listen podcasts. Its make me feel better and push me to move and make good things!!! I hope in future we can meet personaly!)))

First of all I wana express my thanks to you for what you have done for us. I findthis method really helpful. It really helps me to brush up my listening. as a matter of fact, I try to translate every single word that you say. I mean I pretend myself as an interpreter and interpret your talking. I don’t have any difficulties to understand you. Your speech is good and talking is accurate and clear.If someone has difficulties to understand you, it means that their vocabularies are limited.That’s about it for now.
