This is a short chat with Fernando, who first joined my seminar about 6 weeks ago.
Before Effortless English, he had studied for 5 years in a normal English college in the United States.
He learned a lot of grammar rules, but his problem was– he couldn’t speak.
He felt bad, he felt embarrassed when he tried to speak English.
He said that since he started with Effortless English, the system has helped his brain think in English…. and with this system he is improving a lot.
The biggest improvement… in a very short time: “Now I don’t need to translate to Spanish”.
I am sure Fernando will now improve very quickly!!

I am really glad that u have made this Fernando video and also the lesson of hitch 1, for all of us ur student around the world. But sadly, i have to inform u i could not finish watch the video due to bad interruption in my broadband connection but now i love to share one of my great moment just a few days a go i just successfully had a great chat with one guy who can speak English very good even my speaking was a bit terrible but there still had a good communication between us.

I am a student of English and I did 6 months course of English Language Coaching Class in Delhi. Definitely, I learn little about English and I learned to speak a little bit English but I cannot continue my progress because I have no friends to speak English with me.
But, I learned your 7 Rules email course and I am watching your free newsletter video blogs. I think in your Effortless English Club, we cab learn English easily and faster because you use more effort on this and we can learn effortlessly.
But at last, I want to say one thing that I am learning more from your free videos too. If I can learn speak English only with your free videos and not paying any money to your effort then is it fair? Because, I don’t have more money to purchase your lessons. I ‘m just listening to your last Video and I find it sad. You said you O sell your new lessons for a very short time, I don’t know how we can change your mind because I find that your lessons are really useful for as you said for at least 90% of people and I think you might sell it to as many people as possible.
I for an example speak 1000 times better English than two years ago when I begun to learn with your method and also I’m 50 years old and I haven’t the memory of a young human. I beg you to don’t limit the number of your selling and also as you know we are on summer and a lot of people go to holiday and if you sell only for a day we (people that fit with your method) can be outside and can’t be able to have it.
Please consider me as a member which want to have your new lessons.

1-why not submit 7rules courses by video addition of listning?
It will be more benifet.

I love your lessons.I love your methodes. When I listen to you I became more optimistic, my energy goes up, I feel I can learn a lot. And I can understand everything you say.
I have been studing English for about ten years but the results are not good. I still can`t speak automaticly. Now I know why I can`t and I want to improove my English.
I was tought British English and you teach American English. I see some differences and I`m afraid I will mix both languages. What do you think about it? Will it be a problem? Will I be able to learm correct American English? Are the differences important?

Really, it is great the advices you gave all comunities in world but I cant get a balance of my studies as I have some psychological problem and a future anxiety. you are a great teacher! I do love the way you show your energy and your smile to your students. How can’t anyone be willing to learn with you? I am a teacher myself. I am sure that what you try to show is completely true. I have been doing the same for the last few years and I realized that it simply works: if you show you love what you do, you will transmit that love to your students (90 per cent!)

I’m happy watching Fernando’s vedio and I felt excited also. I know I can speak english better than Fernando but that is only in my thoughts. I always think what to say before I speak but the words will not come out easily from my mouth. I always feel embarrased after speaking. I think I just need more confidence and not be ashamed of my mistakes. Thanks a lot.

I was starting to learn english when I was learning in the college of science. but i graduated successfully there and i didnt learn excellent english because i had more grammer error, and i didnt understand someone when speaking english. but now after 3 day of your 7 rule i starting to love to continouse learning. but i have error in the vidio and audio that you sent it to me they didnt open in my computer i dont know why that program not responding in my computer if able you will send me by another program please i hope it so much please…..

I think your method is very, very interesting. I bought “learn Real English” in Genuary but it was actually hard for me follow the lessons. I followed your rules but many slang phrases were in the lessons and it was not easy for me.
I bought now your effortless English and I found a big difference. The lessons are easier and for me is more simple follow the lesson. I am very exited when I sit in front of my computer to listen my English lesson.
I thank you because finally I will speak English after 40 years when I stopped my school studies.

Hi guys,
Here’s one of my secrets I want to confess to the world… I’m lazy as it comes to studying… I don’t like to learn new languages so I never study them… And yet I speak fluently 5 languages! My secret? First of all I travel a lot which means I meet many different people from different countries and it gives me a lot of opportunities to practice… Secondly I often take example on small children, when learning new languages (or just in general)… They learn to speak a language perfectly and with no effort whatsoever in merely 2 years time… Or so it seems. The truth is they are wiser than we are for they never see any difficult things in life… All is simple. They’re never embarrased they don’t speak well yet. Actually, if you don’t understand what they’re saying than that’s your problem… They couldn’t care less and are confident that one day you’ll be able to put yourself at their level and understand them too… That kind of confidence and relaxed learning atmosphere is key I think! Many people are over motivated to learn a language and they haven’t started properly yet or they’re already thinking “I need to learn 2 million words, how to pronounce them correctly, learn all the grammar rules and their exceptions, build phrases, … enough to demotivate you before you’ve even started.
In my travels I’m the same… I don’t care about learning a new language, that’s secondarily… I care about communicating and for that all means are good… I use hand and feet as well as my tong, I mime and mix languages and we always get a good laugh out of it… I make 1000 mistakes but it works and little by little I keep words, expressions and soforth in my head and keep using those… I’m building a linguistic arsenal and using it whenever I can and within months I can communicate about nearly any topic with anyone (and without the use of hands and feet!). Practise does the trick and questions provide the key to unlock our unlimited potential!
There’s a phrase in the Tao of Lao Tzu that I really like and is relative to such situations… “A journey of a thousand miles begins with just 1 step”… Forget about what you have/want to achieve, forget about tomorrow… Just do today… Today I will do these exercices, learn this and tomorrow we will see… Today is easy, today everyone can achieve! Thus taking step after step one day you’ll notice you’ve already achieved what you were dreaming of back then… The only effort it takes is some patience and good will… It also means you can go ANYWHERE from here… But you need to be here, present to do that! All in life is like that. Just pick up the knowledge; little bit by little bit; and use that knowledge… Knowledge is like a garden, if you don’t cultivate you can not harvest. Also for the demoralised among you… Just think you haven’t failed… You just found 10000 ways that dont work… Time for some new ideas!

Hi Aj,
I heard Fernando speaking in English. It was excellent! What he could not learn in 5 years, he learnt it in just six weeks.It worked miracle.
Farnando is a non-native speaker; even then I did not miss a word he said. His pronunciations were very very clear and forceful.I just hope I may one day speak as effortlessly as Farnando did.

few months back i found this wonder ful website with anger. coz i found out dat my last semeter in english class was too poor, i became very very mad at my self so i sat down on my bed it was as if my bed was try to run away from me, dat was when i thought abt going on line low and behold when i went online i saw this wonderful site i decieded to be part of it since then my english has really improved. any ways all i have to say is dat u are good and great. i wish to be present in one of ur live seminar’s. thank u vry

Sell Power English to Everyone, if you want to, you can limit the membership to the club, because that’s a lot of work for you, may be you will have some download problems, but not all of them will be a problem. Also if you limit the time of selling may be the website will get out of hand due to the buyers.

I have been in US one year and eight month , I learned English by my own and I went to school to several months but I could not understand the native speaker or speak easily very well . but now after I bought Effortless English (before tow months) I fell I can understand the native and speak more easily . believe me I am regretful because I did not buy effortless English before this time .

Hi AJ , you`re absolutely right ,the people who complaint all the time will never succeed not only in your lessons but also in their lives too .
I`m longing to learn your lessons but my problem is the time . because I`m with my three little kids ( 5,3 and 1 year old ) and a litte Business ( teaching the other kids the ABACUS ) and getting time to learn real english only in the midnight . I listen to your email while I`m cooking and feeding my kids . Can you please tell me how to learn and follow the lessons in this situation ? Fernando who has got such a happiest face , is 100 % correct . This is a wonderful method which my kids follow to learn english at their playgroup. I`ve also started my english by learning single words , grammer and always reading newspapers and tring to get some english knowledge but everytime I try to talk to the people in english I had to translate and think and sometimes I forget the meanings of the words and then later I will remember them .I was realyy embarrased . But now look at me I`m very confident and challenged that I can speak automatically .

Devi/Sounder, I think you are doing a great job. Listen while you cook…. or when you first get up in the morning (maybe just 10 minutes). Use your “extra time”… when you are shopping, or doing other stuff… to also listen to the lessons. This is why I love iPods.. as you can listen at any time at any place.
It’s OK to listen just 5-10 minutes at many different times during the day

I want to ask one good question about power english.. how about the speed of speaking in power english… In english movies, the characters speak very very fast and they connect one word to other words very fast and quite tough to understand them.. if in power english… the speed of speaking same like in english movies, it will be good for everyone in order to adapt with the REAL english..

Hi, Actullay I’am feeling v depressd , I just arrived to canada , 2 weeks back , I’am working in the hosp . I have great difficulty in following peaople when they english ( they speak v fast + i can’t undersatnd many words ), I have started my first lesson with u, the day of the dead .Although all my study in my country was in english but still I can’t follow peaople when they speak. I could’t open the videao also !

Dodi, You might also want to use the Learn Real English lessons… since you are working with Canadians and thus probably need to know casual English too. (Alternate between Effortless English and Learn Real English (ie. one week do EE, the next week do an LRE lesson, etc….)
Don’t give up! It will be difficult in the beginning but you will succeed.
Another suggestion: Buy a very good (but small) handheld digital recorder. Carry it with you at work. Anytime you have a break and can chat with your co-workers… ask them if you can record the chat in order to improve your English. Then listen to that chat many many times later (remember– deep learning).
You might even hire a tutor to help you understand the recorded chats. Or you could pay someone to transcribe the chats into text… so you could read and understand (I use a transcription service called verbalink.com)

I like your lesson from the video. The success should be the perfect integration of attitude, method and material. Your book will do this. Attitude is positive;method is to show the the attitude by body movement and abnormal voice to reach the goal which is speaking english easily,qucikly and automatically; the great material show us the real english in North America.

Jeff, I recommend that you listen to easier things… and just keep repeating and listening, listening, listening. Remember, you need to focus totally on listening (to easy things) for 6 months..

Afnan, when you buy Power English, I recommend that you alternate… do an Original Lesson set one week (or two)… then next do one from Power English… and continue to alternate in this way. I think this will be a very interesting way for you to learn and you will enjoy the variety! Thanks for the question

Hi teacher ,how are you? I really enjoy ur lessons.well..you are right listenning is an imajic way to speak english easily without thinking. Also, I think all of us has good knowledge of vocabulary and grammer but when we start thinking about what we ‘re saying ,we damge the languge so ideas cannot come out automatically because we sometimes try to think aboutwhat we are saying. Before i listen to ur lesson , i always was thinking about what i am saying ,so it dameged my language and made me stop and say “ah ..ah ..well” and made my speech slower. but when i ried ur manner speaking without thinking it was ” SURPRISE” i feel words come out automatically from mu mouth and i speak easily amd fluency.it is better than thinking about language. I have been studied Englis for 3 years. I have studied three courses at first year. I was so willing to learn english . I opened my hear and mind to learn” I followed the tutor advice so I was improving faster than other students. They were exclaimed and they always asked me how to learn speak English. I told them i always practice it at home with myself. I was speak to the wall!!hhh or doll. Just i imagin i talk to somebody. But actually even though i was good as my tutor say. I feel i am better now because your lessons tought me how to speak , write , liten without thinking and translating. so I am really TOOOOOO happy becasue i am writing this comment without thinking or translating . I just think in English. Oh i am really confident now i feel i have good knowledge of vocabulary but i disuse them because i was thinking and translating.
Finally, well..actually i am teaching my friends and sisters an English course which i have studied at first year of collage on this summer and i am trying to use ur methods! I always tell them ” do not think about what r u saying! Just let ur tongue speak freely ! don’t stope it and damege ur language by thinking or translating.
It is really easier and better when u speak without thinking or translating.

I was really stressed, a little confused. I couldn’t almost speak English at all. Finally, after six month of listening and memorizing phrases, the result was amazing.I really studied so hard but the great changing was worth. My teacher and the manager of school were so happy, so proud of me.Now I can communicate with Canadians right away!!!.
