It’s time.
A new year is beginning and it’s time to make a serious commitment. This is the year you will master English. This is the year you finally speak fluent English.
In the US, we have the tradition of making New Year’s resolutions. A resolution is a strong decision to do something or accomplish something.
Unfortunately, most people forget their resolutions. They quickly become distracted and lose their commitment.
So I want you to make your resolution with great emotional power.
I want you to say, strongly, with tremendous emotion and energy, “This year I will speak English fluently”
Say it out loud– with a very strong voice.
Then do it again. Use all of your body when you say this resolution. Move your arms powerfully. Stand firm. Take a deep breath and with a loud powerful voice say again, “This year I will speak English fluently!”
As you say this, imagine yourself speaking fluent English. See yourself speaking to a native speaker. Imagine the words coming out of your mouth effortlessly. See yourself smiling and laughing as you talk. You are now a fluent speaker of English!
With this image in your mind, yell again, “This year I will speak English fluently!”
Finally, to make this resolution real, take a strong action. Do something immediately to show your commitment to mastering English. Buy some lessons, hire a tutor, contact a native speaker, buy an English novel…. do something to show yourself that you are serious.
This is the year. No more excuses. No more delays. No more complaining. No more doubts.
This is the year you speak English fluently!

The time for evaluating things we’ve done and or undone.
My friend,
I’ve been through bad time and good time leaning english, you would have been yours too, I believe.
In 2007, precisely in January 200, a month after tsunami the worst ever tragedy in the world, I decided to join my friends, most of them Acehnese, in the local NGO-Non Government Organization that had been a month working in Aceh. Since the day of my joining the team, my life has changed-my life was full of english, I couldnt get it all, I needed to learn more english for my being volunteer assigned to be interpreter for those foreign NGO.
Time goes on, in March.2008,I;ve been told by friend to get a new method of learning english at Effortless English, at beginning I found my self not so interested as told that we no longer need gtrammar, gradually I found something different-through listening that has positively changed my english significantly.
Up to the present, I’m happy for all things gradually come to my desire; a better listening to native speakers. Thanks to Effortless English,..so much.
Hope the words written special for you,intentionally for happy learning , could give you a bit picture of being improved.

Hi, I just want to wish you have a happy new years and, full of happiness and luck (althought that i never believe in luck =)) ). As you see, i’m from Viet Nam and we have Tet, it’s tradition, the time that everyone together with family, so I wish you would come here for a chance.

I am really impressed by your way . you really have pointed out the true weakness and nervousness which happens to new comer to Canada. I am fond of readings and have read many books on English even I have listened many audio books in order to have good command on English speaking as native do. It is my first time I send you comment. I cant to do this before :-)because some power stoped me, maybe i was very shy, or i afraided to do mistakes, i don’t know exactly why. But today i decided to do this. I haven’t buy your effortless english lessons yet, but i always downloaded your free story and podcasts every time. I even bought the mp3 player, and every day i listened one of them during the week as you recommended.I also listen to Kris’s flow english idioms. I know that maybe first this comment read Kristin,and very pleased of this. I feel that yours teaching method help me and to encourage me to learn english. Your method is fantastic and it really works. And i hope in this year i begin to think in english and speak fluently with foreiners.
